SAP GRC Fire Fighter User Roles and Responsibilities

SAP GRC Fire Fighter Helps the company with the Elevated Access into your SAP ECC System. This can help you control the excess access given to user during  critical times.

Fire Fighter User ID Controllers

Controllers are responsible for auditing usage of the Fire Fighter User id by viewing the FF log. Ideally these controllers should be assigned by Functional Team. These will enable them to identify the transactions used by the particular user and can assess the validity of the firefighter usage within a particular functional area. The controller can run reports and will also receive email notifications when there is activity by the firefighter userid logins.

Fire Fighter User ID:

This user has the additional access required which can be performed when the real user cannot perform certain transactions. Example: this user will have access to Open and Close periods whereas the regular access will not have. This user will be mapped to End user when the firefighter access is opened

Fire Fighter User ID Owner:

Owner is responsible for assigning the firefighter ids to End user and controllers.

Example: There will be Asset Master Data Maintain Fire Fighter User ID and Vender Master Data Maintain Fire Fighter ID. If the request is to update the Asset master then he will map the End User to Asset Master Data Firefighter User ID.

End User:

This is actual user who cannot execute a transaction and will use the fire fighter functionality to get excess access for limited time. The transactions performed will be traced and log emailed to the controller.

OneAccess-UserManager also helps you manage the complex documenting, testing, process control, and sign-off requirements mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley sections 302, 404, and 409
