GRC User Provisioning process Automation- Are we there yet ( Time is money)
Most of the companies have multiple sap systems. A typical client could have minimum four systems (Sandbox, Development box, QA system and Production system) and may be 10 clients. These are the process teams which will be involved in User automation process
Deployment / Organization Change Management Team: This team establishes the initial point of contact with the site location. They educate the site who is going to be migrated into the new sap system. Then the team analyzes job functions of the employees who are currently performing the function and translate them to SAP access
Training Team: They come into contact with the user once they are inducted into the new sap system sphere. Training user approval process should not have more than two steps for approval. The only requirement is the number of courses they will need to take and the access is provisioned into the training system. The training team will also approve the user confirming that the user had the training
Development team: This team requires access to development system and quality control systems. Their approvals should be two or more approval steps. The approver will be functional team lead
Production support team: This group supports the production system. This access will have maximum number of steps. The teams which will be involved are the functional team, training team and organizational approvals who will be supervisors of the site location.
